Its a boy

Today with newly painted turquoise nails

and a plate full of black bean brownies'

I faced the future

Tonight was actually very happy and full of optimism

She found out yesterday that "It's A Boy!"

So now it kind of makes the whole thing very real

A small belly bump

calling it "He"

and thinking of the perfect baby name.

I am so grateful for all the love and kindness that is wrapped around this news

It could have been such a dark and awkward dinner, full of silences filled with the knowledge of the underlying issue.. but instead we all openly talked about it, laughed about it and even dreamed about it.

She is happy

She is glowing 

She is still one of my best friends

and to see all the support is absolutely amazing

This will be one loved baby

And I am so happy I visited home, because now I have a completely different outlook on the situation.

Because life is life

it is what we make it

and this will be a great thing.
