But in a secret way, I love it.
Everybody is walking around in shorts and skirts and flip flops and sunglasses
its so relaxed
its so sunny
its so happy, because it give everyone a small peek into summer
yeah, so we are sweating like banshees... but its california!
I don't know why things like this make me happy.
I don't think I have become numb to the idea of southern california
In a way I want to stay here forever... just living in an apartment, like a true WeHo resident
But then I think of my hometown summers, and I can't wait for break
Every summer is different.
And I know this summer won't be an exception
Most of my friends will stay at school
or the ones that come back we won't even meet up except for chance encounters
But my friends mom made an interesting point last time I was home, she said... "Kelsi, you have to come home this summer, because we all know you aren't coming back next summer."
It kind of took me by surprise, and I even had a little stutter in my answer... but then I replied, "yes, you're right."
Because it is so true.
Every year I am at school, I am amazed at how fast time flies by... and I am not ready to leave this SoCal life behind.
So I feel like these next two years, I am really going to soak it up.
But for now... thank God its only two weeks left of school!
Come on summer... I need you!

xoxo
